Musical Activity
I have had a passion for music ever since I was 5 years old when I started with singing lessons. Since then, I have picked up piano, clarinet, and electronic music. I took weekly piano lessons, including composition and theory, for six years. Throughout high school, I was heavily involved in the choir and musical theater programs.
In my freshman year of high school, I worked with my classmates to put together a production of Urinetown, in which I performed as a featured ensemble member.
2 years later I did much the same in my junior year of high school, playing featured ensemble in Legally Blonde.
I began singing with my high school choir in ninth grade, joining and being selected for the Advanced Choir when it was formed in my junior year. This was in addition to the private vocal lessons I had been taking since kindergarten.
In my senior year of high school, I was selected to participate in the Southern California Vocal Association’s Honor Choir.
Sketches
Since I was little, I have been filling in the margins of every paper I’ve held on to with doodles and sketches. When I was particularly inspired, I’d often draw maps of the fictional worlds and new characters I envisioned.
